  • Beautiful !

Also love the counter top and how it blends with the grinder (Olympus 75e or 65E ?)

    Enjoy your new machine...

    Thank you kindly.

    It's the 75e with a borosilicate tube micro-hopper and 480g weight.
  • hi tony

please check that the maximum reading of your boiler pressure on the gauge is 1.0 bar

the Sirai pressure switch opens, causing the heat element to turn off, but you will see the pressure continues to rise for a second or two after the switch opens - look for this maximum reading to be 1.0 bar on the gauge

(not 1.3 bar as it was for the 2016 L1)

    best

    reiss.
  • please see below a graph i ran last week of two LR side by side

one has been idling for 4 hours or so, boiler max 1.0 bar, PI 3.0 bar (set with a gauge)

the other is coming from a cold start in about 23-24C ambient, boiler max 1.0 bar, PI 2.0 bar (set with a gauge)

the point of posting this graph here is to show that differing PI settings make no difference to the surface temperature of the group at idle

(different PI pressure makes a significant difference to the temperature profile of the brew water entering the group, which is why you change the PI to optimise the machine for how dark a roast you like to drink)
