HELP - Digital pre infusion module installation problem

Hi
I’m almost done with the installation, everything went quite well until I got to the spare manifold nub and just can’t take it off. I’ve been banging on it like shown on the video, it won’t budge a bit. I’ve tried to hit quite hard like it was suggested, it just stuck.

I don’t know what to do next please help
Thanks
Dominique

  • hi dominique

keep banging away - but have an assistant hold the bottom end of the manifold to support it and prevent it from twisting around and putting too much load on the bracket

you are welcome to FaceTime me right now ([email protected]) or WhatsApp (+642040564412), both are free and its 13:40 on a saturday here

    reiss.
  • Thanks for the quick reply
I don’t have spare hands but i can nudge something behind the manifold to keep it from moving
Should I go for delicate bangs or more forceful ones?

  • you can belt it fairly hard, but the trick is repeated hits of moderate force rather than trying to swing a home run with one monster hit

it is the percussion that shocks it apart

what weight of hammer are you using?
  • My hammer is 7 oz quite light
  • one moment, ill check how that feels
  • ok, so i have a 200g hammer here, which is close to 7oz, and yes, that is part of the reason why you are struggling

i prefer something closer to a 12oz, have you got a hammer more in that range?

hold it half way up the handle too for more control

    let me know

    reiss.
  • Ah!
I have one but i have to locate it...new home and such
I’ll let you know when I’ve tried with the heavier one
    Thanks again
    Dominique

  • Hi again
The only hammer I found was a 16 oz.
I must have hit it like 50 times at least and nothing is moving.
    What next?
    Thanks
    Dominique
  • keep going, with slightly more force. they can be on tight, dont worry, im not surprised.
  • FINALLY!!!
That was not with tact and care ;-)
I can confirm they can be on tight
Finished the installation everything looks good to go
    Many thanks for the support
