Londinium R water temperature after plumbing in
Hi all,
A few weeks ago I plumbed in my Londinium R. Since then I have the feeling the water temperature is hotter then normal then with using the pump. I use a line pressure regulator but the coffee taste ashy/bitter.
I currently run a medium roast about 4 weeks post roast. The line pressure is set to 2 bar. The lever grabs around 45 degrees. But still it tastes ashy. Also my other coffees taste kind of the same.
Someone has an idea?
My setup:
water tap -> water leak detection lock -> pressure regulator -> BWT BestMax Premium S -> espresso machine.
Kind regards,
Costeijn.

just dial back the water pressure to say, 1.5 bar
the lower the water pressure the lower the brew temperature
let me know how you get on
best
reiss.
Everything is fine now and once again the L-R makes great espresso again.
