Off-level Londinium tamper fix

When receiving my Londinium Tamper I noticed that the top wasn't level, around 1-2° off and it was tricky to do a level tamp. I contacted Reiss about this and he sent me a replacement wooden top right away. Unfortunately, the new one was even worse with the threaded brass inset probably 3-4° off :-(
I left it on the L1 over night where it was heating up in the morning only to realize I could now screw the top on a little further with the top levelling around half way. I then put it in my vise (towel for protection…) and pressed on the side that was lifting up and it allowed me to turn it another quarter turn or so. Anyway, after some fiddling I finally managed to get it (almost) level, so no need for another replacement.
Just posting here in case someone else tries to look this up on here (like I did beforehand)…
