Dimensions of L1 with portafilter installed

I'm renovating a small kitchen, and need some assistance.

1) I usually leave portafilters in place - how far does the portafilter stick out past the front edge of the machine?
2) Does the portafilter lock from left to right?
3) Would a wall immediately to the left of the L1 impede the ability to lock in the portafilter (does its movement stay between the two planes described by the left and right walls of the L1)?

I apologize in advance if this has been dealt with previously - I didn't have a clue how to search for this specific a question. Reiss' diagram from the Espresso machines section (https://londiniumespresso.com/specifications/espresso-machine-specifications#) is very helpful, but doesn't describe the dimension with portafilter in, or the arc of its movement.

3. no it would not. if a plumb line was dropped from the handle when it was at its most extreme position to the left the plumb line would fall 35mm inside the left hand edge of the drip tray
