Reading up on the LI...

Is the current unit the v2 / 2nd gen ... or is it up to gen 3, 4, etc

Is the LI a boiler or HX type system

    the current L1 we refer to as a series two and there are no plans for a series three. all three machines are in their final form.

    the architecture of the L1 is known as an open thermosiphon system

    Heating element (USA models)... Is it custom made or any easy to acquire unit. In case it needs replacing in the future. Want to be able to get parts.

    Good to know

    want to make sure I can keep it going for a very long time and not get stuck w/ a paperweight.

    Kinda like not being able to get burrs for older Olympia Mocca grinders, unless you modify the new version burrs.
