L1 (2013) Overheated and pressure relief valve opened
Hi,
A couple of times recently my L1 (240v) overheated and the boiler pressure went to 1.5 bar before the relief valve opened up. As I understand it, I need to replace my 20A Sirai solenoid with the available 30A Sirai?
I'm looking for a shopping list and instructions.
Thanks!

hi alejandro
yes, that is correct
i also recommend that you fit the 'new' safety valve at the same time (no longer new, but newer than the original design that i expect you have if you have a 20A Sirai)
the 30A Sirai is here

the safety valve is here

you may want to replace the copper washer that you will find between the safety valve and the boiler

the instruction sheet i have is not entirely relevant as it relates to upgrading a 2012/13 110V machine as you are not changing any wires, but in so far as it is relevant to your machine it is correct
as always, use a combination wrench of a fixed size (rather than an adjustable wrench) and strike the end of the wrench with a hammer in staccato style to shock the two threads apart from each other. apply the same technique to fit the new components. i am of course available on video call to step you through it if you wish
kind regards
reiss.
Thank you!
