Group to frame seal
Hey all, I have a ~1 year old LR and I was replacing the group/portafilter gasket today and I noticed discoloration on the seal between the group and the "box" or frame of the LR. Picture attached. Some of that seal is black, some is white. I don't ever remember seeing it before and wondering if that's the way it always is, or something has changed on my unit. The seal is hard to the touch. What's yours look like?

its a paper gasket - some are black, some are green, etc, depending on where they are cut out of the gasket sheet
it all looks good to me - it is not a service item; leave well alone
