Machine Noise

Having a problem with my coffee machine for quite a while, Almost every time the boiler fill it makes an unbearable noise that sounds like a jackhammer I thought it was the vibrating pump going bad, I was waiting to finish my kitchen remodel so I could plumb it direct to the water supply with the kit I already had purchased. Could not take the noise anymore and I went ahead and plumb it in, to my surprise the noise still there it wasn’t the water pump. It looks like it’s coming from solenoid that opens the water inlet or maybe the valve after that? Look like it might be a back-pressure valve not Shure.




Any Help would be appreciated.

any chance of a brief video clip that captures the sound?

i expect it is the solenoid (it almost the only thing remaining now you have plumbed it in!), but an audio file would let me know for certain

we now use a sirai instead of a parker, but it will swap in to your machine

it does

click the action button, then reply (not quick reply), then click on the 'film' icon (which is the one to the immediate left of the map icon) and then click 'Provider' and select the host service where the film is, eg Vimeo, Youtube, etc (many are listed) and the Vimeo/Youtube/etc film ID and click 'Add' and then 'Submit' your post

you do not need to populate the size width or height parameters for it to work

& you're done

its fairly simple

hmm. i was so sure i was going to hear electrical resonance, but im not sure that is

what is the pressure of the water feeding the machine? if it is 6 bar or higher it is likely to destroy the solenoid

I checked with a gauge it was 60PSI

it think it is resonance as there is no visible water shunt in the braided hose as the solenoid opens and closes

replace the solenoid, problem solved

I will order one and see if that takes care of the problem.
Sometimes it fills normal no noise just the water rush filling the boiler when its full you hear the solenoid close.
