Water filter - when to change ?

Hi, I bought a Londinium R this year and use about 250-500g of coffee per week, 1/3 espresso, I guess I get through 3-5 litre of water a week. All good just wondered when I should change the filter ? I use Waitrose or other spring water 90% of the time.

'spring water' is not necessarily the best water for your machine. You could test it to see how hard it is, and use a filter jug like BWT or Brita to filter the water, then test what comes out that filter and change that jug's filter at least once a month.

Frans thanks for the quick reply, I coudn't find the link to the filters on the web site. Where can you buy filters and possible suitable water from easily, any ideas ?

as frans says, purchase a water hardness test kit online (we also sell one)
regardless, it needs to be changed annually at a minimum or they will eventually go green inside

Tks, where can I buy a filter from, couldn't find it on the web site ?

Oh I think I have a softness tester as the house has a big water softener and I have a test kit somewhere
