Mahlkonig K30

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the various iterations of this grinder?

I am looking for a grinder that is low on retention, high on accuracy for on demand and obviously, a consistent grind for espresso.

Is this likely to please?

  • hi stephen

talk to dave hyde - he had one of these a while ago

people who own them speak highly of them

its mahlkoenig, i would expect it to be well built, but at the end of the day its a 64mm flat burr grinder for quite a lot of coin

as to retention i simply don't know

i used one at mercanta once and it has a very nice solid feel and does an acceptable job

i don't think you can expect it to offer the last word in subtle taste nuances, but it is a nicely made product, yes

    reiss.
  • Yes, a 64mm flat burr grinder, BUT one of it's claim to fame attributes is the quietness of the machine!

I have not operated one but have read everything I can about them.
